REGISTRATION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Registration & Payment

1.1 Registration fees are quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include all applicable taxes.

1.2 A registration is not confirmed until full payment is received.

1.3 Payment options include credit card or direct deposit (7-day payment terms) up until 14 days prior to the event. After which time, only credit card payments can be made.

1.4 If you are paying by credit card your statement will display as a transaction with Iceberg Events. A 2.2% surcharge applies to credit card transactions.

1.5 By completing your registration, you confirm your attendance at the conference and accept these Terms & Conditions.

2. Cancellations & substitutions

Registration

2.1 All cancellations must be submitted in writing to Iceberg Events.

2.2 Cancellations received more than 21 days prior to the event will be refunded less a $100 administration fee.

2.3 Cancellations 21 days or less before the event are not refundable, but a substitute delegate may attend in your place if advised in writing.

2.4 Transfer of registration between events is not permitted.

 3. Accommodation

3.1 Accommodation is not included in the registration fee.

3.2 Discounted room block rates may be available via the Conference registration form or through Iceberg Events.

3.3 All accommodation changes or cancellations must be made in writing to Iceberg Events. Please do not contact hotels directly.

3.4 If full payment for accommodation is not received 30 days prior to the event, bookings may be released by the organiser.

3.5 Cancellations made 30 days or more before the event may be refunded subject to hotel group booking policies.

3.6 No refunds are provided for cancellations received less than 30 days before the event; however, you may substitute another guest.

4. Program changes

4.1 The Organisers reserve the right to amend the program, speakers, venues, dates, times, and advertised features at any time without notice if circumstances require.

4.2 Any changes will be communicated on the website via email, if appropriate.

5. Insurance & health

5.1 Delegates are strongly advised to obtain comprehensive travel, health, and personal insurance before attending.

5.2 The Organisers and Host accept no responsibility for personal injury, illness, loss, or damage to property.

6. Privacy

6.1 The personal information you provide is used to process your registration and manage your participation.

6.2 By registering, you consent to the collection and use of your information in accordance with the Organiser’s Privacy Policy.

6.3 Your contact details may be shared with official event partners only where necessary to deliver event features.

6.4 Exhibitors have access to a delegate list containing delegate contact details (name, position and organisation). Delegates can withdraw of consent to share the information on the electronic registration form

7. Photography, video & recording

7.1 By attending, you acknowledge that you may be photographed or recorded.

7.2 Delegates agree that the Medico-Legal Society of Queensland Inc. may use such images and recordings for promotional and/or media-related purposes without further consent or compensation.

8. Delegate conduct & safety

8.1 Delegates agree to follow all venue rules, directions from Organisers, and any applicable health and safety laws or guidelines.

8.2 The Organisers or venue staff may refuse entry or remove any person whose behaviour is inappropriate or disruptive.

9. Liability

9.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Organisers, Host, and partners disclaim liability for any indirect, special, or consequential loss arising from participation in the event.

10. Event cancellation, postponement, relocation, or health emergencies

10.1 The Organisers will not be liable for any delay, cancellation, or change to the event resulting from circumstances beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, industrial action, war, terrorism, or failure of venues or suppliers (‘Force Majeure Event’). In the event of a Force Majeure Event, the Organisers reserve the right to modify the event format, postpone, relocate, or cancel the event. Where possible, delegates will be offered alternative arrangements (such as virtual attendance or transfer to a future event). Refunds, if applicable, will be determined at the discretion of the Organisers and may be reduced to reflect costs already incurred.

11. Acceptance of terms

11.1 By registering for the MLSQ Conference 2026, delegates agree to abide by all terms outlined above.
